The start of the day
saw 154
individual triathletes and 34 teams set off to do battle
for supremecy in a variety of events.
In the Olympic
course the men's
event saw Matt White victorious over Shane Johnson
by a decisive amount while in the women's event, Edith
Kosztovits won her fourth Kingston Triathlon to equal
sister Maria's score. Ella Holmes was close behind
in a good competition.
The teams event saw Bordertown's "The Olympians" defend
their title.
The Short Course event
saw one of our largest fields for many years thanks
largely to the excellent entries from around the South
East. The South Eastern people have supported this
event extremely well over the past years and the numbers
participating continues to grow.
The men's event was won by Phillip Chehade narowly
over James Kerr, while the women's event saw Jacqui
Greed a comfortable winner over Danielle White.
The teams event saw Bordertown1 victorious, while
"The Jab" took the School's trophy back to Bordertown
once again..
The Come 'n' Tri event
saw Brian Casey and Megan Saunder successful in their
races.
Our first venture into
an experiential event for the 7 - 11 Year Olds saw
31 take up the challenge and complete the course. It
proved to be great fun for those involved and for
their proud parents.
