OUR COMMITTEE
Our current committee comprises people from a variety of backgrounds but does not have any triathletes on it. Occasionally when we have enough committee members, some may enter our own event but rarely any other events around the state. We are a small band of people who wish to promote triathlons in South Australia and to enable visitors to sample some of the wonderful things that Kingston has to offer. These include natural and constructed attractions, but one of our greatest assets, as with many rural communities, is the people themselves.
As an indication of the the friendliness and community mindedness of the local inhabitants, over one hundred locals volunteer their time and effort on the day to help run a safe, friendly, professional event largely for the benefit of visiting triathletes. Many more come to watch and support the competitors. Why do they do it? Because we believe our town has some special qualities and want others to experience what it has to offer.
