RACE DETAILS FOR THE 2009 LITTLE'S BP
21st ANNUAL KINGSTON S.E. TRIATHLON

EVENTS
The Kingston S.E. Triathlon will hold four events on race day. They include:
Olympic Course:
Swim - 1500m; Cycle - 40km; Run - 10km
Short Course:
Swim - 500m; Cycle - 13.3km; Run - 3.6km
Come 'n' Tri:
Swim - 200m; Cycle - 7.3km; Run - 1.5km
7 - 11 Year Olds: Swim - 50m; Cycle - 3Km; Run - 500m

EVENT DATE
The Little's BP 21st Annual Kingston S.E. Triathlon will be held on February 15th 2009.

ENTRIES
ON LINE registration and payment for entries is possible. The closing date for ON LINE entries is Wednesday 11th February, 2009.
PAPER ENTRIES must be posted to Kingston S.E. Triathlon Club Inc., PO Box 266, Kingston SE, 5275. Cheques should be made payable to the Kingston S.E. Triathlon Club Inc. The closing date for postal entries is midnight on Wednesday 11th February, 2009. Paper entries plus money must reach the committee by this date or the late fee will be imposed.
7 - 11 Year Olds can register up until 8:00am on race day without penalty.

INDIVIDUALS
Two types of event are on offer.
OPEN events
AGE GROUP
events. The following groupings are used with ages as of Dec. 31st 2008:
Olympic: 16-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over
Short Course: Under 15, 15-16, 17-19, 29-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
Come 'n' Tri: 12 yrs, 13 yrs, 14 yrs, 15 yrs, 16 yrs, 17–19, 20–39, 40 & over
7 - 11 Year Olds: No age groups as this event is non-competetive.
These events are for TA members and non-TA members (who must pay an extra fee for a One Race Membership which gives them insurance cover for that race). Consequently non-members entry fees are higher than the fee for members.

TEAMS
Only one entry form per team - copies of any extra parent consent need to be securely attached to the entry form.
Team members who are current TA members may receive one third of the total team discount per TriSA member, providing that the current membership details are supplied. Attach an extra sheet with such details, if necessary.
SCHOOL TEAMS must have a declaration signed by a Senior Staff Member of the representative school. Click the link to obtain a copy of the School Team Entry Form
MINIMUM AGES for competitors in team events are:
Olympic Course - 14 years old, Short Course - 13 years old, Come 'n' Tri - 10 years old

LOCALS
A “Local” is defined as someone who resides predominantly in the Kingston or Robe District Council Areas.

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries will be accepted until 7.30am on February 15th, 2009, with an extra late fee of $20.00 applying.

RULES
Triathlon Australia Race Rules and regulations apply. Copies will be available at the registration area on race day, or may be downloaded by clicking the link above. These are Triathlon SA series and Triathlon SA Club Championship events, and are fully sanctioned by the Triathlon Association of SA.

RACE PACKETS
Race packets may be collected upon registering on race morning or on February 14th, 2009, at the Kingston Football Clubrooms in Gall Park, East Terrace, Kingston, (Map Ref C4 on Kingston Map) from 5.00pm.

SATURDAY NIGHT PASTA AND SALAD
Held at the Kingston Football Clubrooms where everyone is welcome to enjoy a hearty meal, in a friendly atmosphere. Bookings are not required. Cost $12.00.

MAPS
Maps of the course will be displayed at the Kingston Football Clubrooms on February 14th, 2009, from 5.00pm and on race day. They are also available from the Course Details page.

REGISTRATION AND BRIEFING
Registration is required at the transition area between 6.30am and 7.30am on race day. A compulsory briefing will be held at 7:30am.
7 - 11 Year Olds must register by 8:00am and attend a compulsory briefing in their Transition Area at 10:40am.

ASSEMBLY FOR RACES
Olympic Course: Competitors should be assembled at 8.15am, ready to start at 8.24am.
Short Course:
Competitors should be assembled at 8.50am, ready to start at 9.00am.
Come 'n' Tri Course:
Competitors should be assembled at 9.00am, ready to start at 9.15am.
7 - 11 Year Olds Course: Competitors should assemble by 10.55am, for a start at 11:00am.

LUNCH
Barbeque lunch and food stalls are available on race day.

CERTIFICATES
Certificates may be downloaded from the Home page of this website after the conclusion of the event. Competitors will be required to fill in their own race details.
