Olympic Distance Course

The Olympic Distance event consists of:

  • Swim of 1500m in a calm bay with a beach start. The swim course is a single loop course with the exit between swim lane ropes before a 50m dash across the beach to the transition area.
Two maps are available for downloading:
    * Diagramatic Map showing distances between turns
    * Overview map of the Swim & Run legs relative to Transition and Finish
  • Cycle of 40 Km by completing 3 laps of a 13.3Km bituminised loop. Marine Parade is closed for the duration of the event and the Robe Road has traffic controlled in one direction by Police so that competitors have the western lane of the road to themselves.
    * Click to download a Map of the Cycle Course.
  • Run of 10Km over some sand, but mainly on a bituminised walking/cycling track. Three laps need to be completed of this loop with competitor numbers checked at the turn-around point.
